We believe in the one true God who has manifested himself in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin named Mary, by the power of the Holy Spirit, lived a pure and flawless life, suffered under Pontius Pilate and was crucified. We understand Jesus' death to be the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of mankind. We also believe that on the third day God raised Jesus from the dead and He now sits on the right hand of the Father making intercessions for the saints. We believe that the only way to the Father or to His eternal kingdom is through Jesus Christ.
We also believe that the New Testament church is an accurate pattern for us today. We accept and embrace the gifts of the Spirit found in the book of Corinthians Chapter 12. We expect signs to follow as we do God's will and we believe in the five fold ministry recorded in 1 Corinthians 12:28. We also acknowledge the fact that we have an adversary, and we are called into spiritual warfare as the Holy Spirit reveals and gives instruction. Although we embrace every manifestation of the Holy Spirit, we also hold fast to things being done in decency and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40).
We continue to practice the two ordinances that Jesus left the church, which are water baptism (St. Matthew 29:19) and Holy Communion (1 Corinthians 11:22-25). We understand baptism to mean to immerse; to submerge; to plunge; or go under water, which represents the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as well as our own personal death to our old life and resurrection of a new life. We also hold fast to taking communion with one another, understanding that only those that have a relationship with Christ and are free from offense should partake in this ordinance.
We believe that the Christian church is to be a body of sanctified believers, meaning set aside for God's use. We understand "sanctified" to be a lifestyle more than a fashion statement, or the lack thereof. We teach that a Christian should no longer go to places that would hinder others as well as lure themselves back into the sins which God has called them out of. We believe that we are to abstain from the very appearance of evil.
We believe that the Holy Bible is the true Word of God that was written by men under the inspiration of God and is the true authority and governing manual to our church and our personal lives. The Bible supersedes the opinions of the people and takes precedence over leadership and man-made tradition as well.
We also believe and accept the fact that God has commanded all believers to support His church through tithes and offerings. A tithe is a tenth of a person's income and anything over that is an offering. God promises that if a person gives the first ten percent to Him, that He would remove any curse and devourer off of their lives. In return, God would pour out a blessing that the person wouldn't have room enough to receive. (Malachi 3:8-12).
We also understand that Jesus Christ will return to rapture or snatch away all those that believe in Him. We wholeheartedly believe that there is a place for those who have trusted Jesus as their Lord and Savior (St. John 14). Because we understand that the human soul is an eternal being, we are also cognizant of the fact that there is a place for those that choose not to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We do not embrace any teachings that suggest that a person can be redeemed from eternal damnation after their life has ended here on earth.
